I think Illinois to the Rose Bowl is a really bad idea. Hopefully juice could capture lightning in a bottle for a second game......but i doubt it.

The Illini are
IN the Rose Bowl. They have already been contacted by the committee. It is in every Chicago newspaper. They only needed the Buckeyes going to the BCS Championship and then be ranked in the top 14 (accomplished). The current rules were created because the Rose Bowl wanted to preserve their Big Ten / Pac 10 matchup and felt they got screwed in '03 ('02 season) when Iowa went to the Orange Bowl. Also, they are not allowed to select UGA under the current rules, since the Sugar lost their natural SEC connection in LSU. So, the Rose certainly isn't going to select ASU to play USC in a conference game, and they certainly aren't going to select one of the Big 12 teams, so the Illini is clearly their only/best option, and I couldn't be happier for them and the Big Ten Conference.
