well I'm not sayin the edges are decisive. IMO the only reason LSU is favored is because of what happened last year. Look at the stats from this year though and you'll understand why I ranked things the way I did. I also had LSU with an advantage at Saftey so take that into account albeit a small lead.
How can you rank LSU's DB's higher if
OSU's defense is #1 in the pass? Same thing goes for LB's, look at the combined run stopping/pass protection numbers that also favors
OSU. If you look Its not as lopsided as you think, I only have
OSU possessing 1 better unit. It's actually a Tie if you count the FB's into the RB category.
Oh yeah WR's are LSU as well... extremely deep, talented, and fast.
So I have it...
OSU-RB, DE,LB,CB, Coaching
Push- TE
LSU-QB, WR, DT, S, Homefield
Here's some points on why on some of the positions that are close
RB- Again Beanie at 240 and with his speed is a weapon. Hester is very tough but he lacks that big game presence like beanie can have.
FB- Hester is somewhat used like your fullback, but our fullback at 270 and 5'10" is tough to deal with because of those demensions.
oline- You could say PUSH but the fact that LSU has given up more sacks than
OSU despite having a mobile QB is something that can't be ignored. Boeckman hasn't been harrassed much this year.
LB- I like your #7 I think highfill is his name but I could be wrong. I don't think he's as complete as James Lauranitus, and I believe Marcus Freeman is a tad better than your WLB as well. This might be were the bucks are deepest this year.
