I'm one of the biggest traditionalists, but I was thinking that it would be pretty cool to schedule games against the SEC where the Big Ten team would go play the SEC team early in the year. Play down there on the hottest, most humid time of year. Then, next year, the SEC teams go to the north, and play Big Ten teams at the end of the season - the week before the SEC plays their conference championship game.
Do this method for 2 years, then take 2 years off, or so, before playing another 2 years.

you know you are not getting an SEC to travel north that late in the year. Hell you can hardly get them to travel north anytime of the year.
