Elvis Dumervil is an example of a shorter DT who made it work...however Brandon is still a work in progress. He has great instincts and a great quickness for a big kid. I don't think you can compare Brandon Taylor and Corey Adams at this point, talent-wise. I think people tend to get caught up in the fact he is LT's son or the fact he is from Krop, where Sabino and Howard are coming from. But Corey will eventually be offered by just about every team in the country and is already sitting on offers from the likes of
OSU, USC, Florida and Michigan. To my knowledge, Taylor has not received an official offer yet. On top of that, apparently UNC is very interested and with the combination of Butch Davis and UNC being his father's alma mater, that is where I would put my early money, should they come through with an offer.
Corey is a player I would really like to see in the '09 class but we are going to be in a dogfight. A DL class that includes Adams and Simon would be tremendous...
