2000-2002 Miami 35-2 1 NC

Those are 2 streaks just in the past 10 years that are equal to or better than USC's run. If you go back and look at the history of CFB there are numerous examples of better 3 year periods than what USC did.
When I said greatest run, I was just talking about how they shattered the all-time record for consecutive appearances at the AP No. 1 spot. I'm not saying they were the greatest team in recent history. And yes, in recent history, you could make a good argument that 94-96 Nebraska and 00-02 Miami had greater runs. I mean that 00-02 Miami program had like seven guys end up going to the NFL and being all-pro. That was a hell of a game seeing OSU take them down. That goal line stand at the end was one of the greatest things I have ever seen in college football history.
