Wayne Krivsky's comment to The Cincinnati Enquirer that "It's tough to rely on young guys who have never been in the big leagues from the get-go" seems to indicate that the Reds general manager is still looking for a starting pitcher to add to the rotation now that talks for Baltimore's Erik Bedard apparently have fallen through.
Whether this means that the Reds might try to swing a deal with Cleveland for Cliff Lee or go after one of the remaining veterans on the free-agent market -- Bartolo Colon, Josh Fogg, Livan Hernandez, Jon Lieber, Brett Tomko, etc. -- is anyone's guess at this point. It probably depends on the cost.
