Personally, I agree. Fire him. We've had enough of this talk of what he achieved, let's look at what he did not achieve:
- He lost two national championship games in six years.
- He has not placed anywhere near the top in any of the annual BBQ cook-offs.
- Fashion is his worst problem. Not changing with the times.
- Public relations is a disaster. Neither Mark May nor Mike Freeman seem to like him very much. Trevor Dodd is another one he has failed to impress.
- Originality and creativity. Name just one dance step that he has invented. Name one piece of artwork hanging in the Louvre. Not good, a real fail on these criteria.
- Human Resource Managment. No Nobel Peace Prize. Not one. Zip. He actually fails to engage with international conflicts. Just this week, we have Kenya. What has he done to resolve Kenya?
- TSUN. It's been a while but let's not forget he lost to them. He also said nice things about VLloyd.
- Barksdale. That is the big one. He blew it on Barksdale big time.
So, you put it together. When we line up criteria like this, Tressel doesn't cut it.
OK, fine, line up the typical coaching stuff and he looks like the top guy in the game, but on these other criteria, he's a failure. Let's see if he sorts out Kenya, get's that one done and I'll change my mind.
Do I get the job? Can I be a big-time "sports journalist" too? Huh? Please? I could associate him by innuendo with the Boston Strangler if you think that might help. Please?
