Again, that's fine. I'm not denying or begrudging you your accolades. But I will say (again) that they do not matter to me personally. The education I'm getting in the classroom is secondary to me than what I'm getting outside of it. The way I've grown culturally and personally is way more important than that and really can't be reflected in any degree. It's been my long-standing belief that it isn't the education that matters but what you do with it. Quite frankly, I feel like I can go up against a graduate of Harvard and beat him out for a position we're both going for. Chances are I won't be ending my education at Ohio University, but it's been one heck of a place to continue it after high school.
I'm happy for Ohio State that it does as well as it does in the rankings. I don't know if it gives a model to follow, but it certainly gives us something to shoot for.
