COLUMBUS, Ohio
- The Ohio State men's track and field team opened its 2008 indoor season Friday inside Kent State Field House with a 91-56 victory or the Flashes in a meet.

"I was very pleased with the team tonight," head coach Robert Gary said. "This and next week's dual (Michigan) meets are great ways to get our team together and get a good idea of where we're at."

In sprints for Ohio State junior Matt Comer took the 200m title in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.63. Comer was not finished as he went on to score another five points for the Buckeyes by winning the 400m in a time of 48.34. Defending 200-meter Big Ten champion, senior Anthony Cole won the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.86 and placed second in the 200m with a time of 21.75.
