JL's 18-tackle performance against LSU was kinda like Dan Connor's 18-tackle performance against OSU earlier in the season - lots of assists, lots of stops 5 yards down the field, few if any big plays.

JL is probably a bit overrated ... but only because he is so highly rated to begin with. When a player has so many accolades (2-time All American, Lombardi, Nagurski before his senior season even begins), everyone expects a Superman performance every game. JL didn't have one against LSU ... but he wasn't alone, as the DL got pushed around quite a bit, and LSU seemed to have an OL in JL's face on every play. An MLB looks a Hell of a lot better when his DT's are controlling the LOS.
12 of those 18 stops were credited as solo tackles... But the rest I agree with LJB...
