COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's track and field team opened competition at the Rod McCravy Invitational Friday inside Nutter Field House on the campus of the University of Kentucky.

In the field, David Ebersole took eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 60 feet, 11 1/2 inches. Ebersole is currently ranked in the country's Top 11 in the weight throw with his toss of 66 feet, 1 1/2 inches, last week at the Gladstein Invitational.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's track and field team completed action at the Rob McCravy Invitational Saturday inside of Nutter Field House on the campus of the University of Kentucky.

Senior Anthony Cole raced his way to a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash in a season-best time of 21.45. Against a tough field of competitors, Cole also took sixth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.77.

"As we head into our invitational part of the season, it?s exciting to see great performances," Robert Gary, Ohio State head coach, said. "We definitely have the opportunity to set ourselves up to qualify for NCAA championships. Matt Comer just missed an NCAA mark and Tony (Anthony) Cole had an extremely solid double in the 60 and 200. Elon Simms and Dan White had a good double with Elon coming back on our 4 x 400. Pat Whalen also had a great competition today with his last throw being his furthest."
