Posey Brings Big-Time Credentials At WR
Bill Kurelic
Ohio State appears to be in no danger of suffering from a shortage of wide receiver anytime soon, and one reason is the signing of DeVier Posey of Cincinnati LaSalle. Posey, an All-American and top 100 prospect, appears to have all the tools to be a star at OSU.
When the Ohio State coaching staff mapped out their needs at wide receiver for their recruiting class of 2008, their goal was to land at least three great prospects at the position and taking four was not out of the question. In landing DeVier Posey from Cincinnati (Ohio) LaSalle, Jake Stoneburner from Dublin (Ohio) Coffman and Lamaar Thomas from Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly, the Buckeyes grabbed three of the country?s premier wide receiver prospects.
While Stoneburner and Thomas could be catagorized as "athletes," that is they could play more than one position for the Buckeyes, Posey is headed to Ohio State as a wide receiver, pure and simple.
The 6-foot-3 and 205-pound Posey is one of the country?s premier wide receiver prospects, and his best football in still in front of him.
