Vikings' GMC goal denied
Loss means Princeton must share league title
BY CAREY HOFFMAN | ENQUIRER CONTRIBUTOR
Middletown and Princeton could meet again in 15 days, in a Division I boys' basketball sectional title game.
Based on the intensity of their matchup Friday, it could be one of the more frantic tournament games this season.
Princeton, the No. 4 team in the Enquirer Division I area coaches' poll, came into Middletown Friday night hoping to win the Greater Miami Conference title outright, but it was turned away as No. 9 Middletown won for the seventh time in its last eight games, 70-58.

Middletown was led by a pair of juniors, guard Allen Roberts and forward Bill Edwards. Roberts scored 28 points, including 12 during the key third period, while Edwards finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
