But Trinity looks to be the only team from the area with a chance at capturing the state title. The Shamrocks had four wrestlers advance to the championship semifinals: Myron Bradbury (103 pounds), Kenny Watkins (140), Brad Hitchings (171) and Jordan Whiting (285).

Whiting, who has committed to play football at Ohio State, will face No. 2 Billy Fuller of Campbell County in a semifinal. Whiting pinned Lafayette's Evan Bullock at the 4:29 mark last night to cap an emotional match.
"He was a little bit excited," Rudolph said. "I think that's the most intense I've seen him all year."
