The Raiders scored 12 fast-break points to build a 26-12 lead, before Heights closed to within 49-47 midway through the third.
Harding, getting eight more points in transition, pushed its lead to 65-53 with 5:40 left. The Tigers rallied again, trimming the Harding lead to 74-71 on Travis Kelce's 3-point shot with two minutes left, but couldn't score again.
Senior forward Quintus Teer led Cleveland Heights with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Kelce, a 6-6 senior forward, totaled 16 points and 11 rebounds despite playing just 19 minutes because of foul trouble. Senior guard Chuck Turnbo and junior guard Sir Christian Williams scored 17 and 10 points, respectively.
Harding was paced by junior guard Sheldon Brogdan (28 points), 6-4 junior point guard Desmar Jackson (23 points) and 6-8 senior forward Chris Henderson (16 points, 12 rebounds).
