Lennie Friedman hasn't had enough of blocking for the NFL's leading kickoff returner, Joshua Cribbs.
The Browns signed Friedman, a nine-year veteran offensive lineman, to a one-year contract Tuesday. He can play guard and center and appeared in 16 games in 2007 as a key member of the kickoff return wedge that helped Cribbs average 30.7 yards per return.
A second-round pick out of Duke in 1999, Friedman, 31, enters his third year in Cleveland. He also has played for the Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears.
