Hot hitting and young pitching are the key ingredients for Ohio State as the Buckeyes enter Big Ten play.
Ohio State (10-6), which opens its conference schedule today against Penn State, is batting .342 and has outhit opponents 191-131. Junior J.B. Shuck has a .455 average and has scored 17 runs. Three teammates have 20 hits or more.
"Our hitters have come to play every day," second baseman Cory Kovanda said. "It feels good to be able to score as many runs as we have."
