Jim Foster did what losing coaches always do in the week that followed the first-round ouster of the Ohio State women's basketball team from the NCAA Tournament.
He replayed the 60-49 defeat to Florida State over and over in his head while the same thoughts swirled like buoys caught in an eddy.
"What could you have done differently?" Foster said. "What could you have done better? I think you start with yourself before you start on anything else. And I'm in the process of that."
One matter he doesn't dispute: The performance by the sixth-seeded Buckeyes against the 11th-seeded Seminoles "wasn't good." A fifth-place team in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Florida State roared to a 20-point lead partly because a core of quicker players expected to beat anyone from the Big Ten.
