Lyons, brother of current Mountaineer receiver Wes, is moving from Ohio State after winning a hardship case.
The 6-4, 214-pound Devon Lyons played in all 12 games for the Buckeyes as a freshman before sitting out 10 in 2005 with an ankle injury. He also suffered a collarbone injury in 2006.
Devon Lyons will have one year of eligibility and is expected to challege for immediate playing time with the Mountaineers at the Z position.
