Basically it is time to move on. EA knows they can't waste any more resources on the old generation and have to pump up their next gen software to take advantage of the new hardware. The problem with that line of thinking is that PS2 out sold PS3 last year. Why dump resources into a game console that isn't selling as well as its predicessor.
