A free pass would mean they didn't play anyone and still got into the bcs mnc game. except that WASN'T the case now was it??
If you are going to say the SEC doesn't deserve it, at least PROVE it.

Economic situations? The BCS conferences are the ones with the "economic considerations". The NCAA doesn't govern D-1 football neither does the NAIA obviously. The only "considerations" these leagues have for FOOTBALL is $$$$. Right now they are getting a sweet deal from Fox and all of the bowl sponsors for the BCS. Congress won't be able to do squat as usual.
