OSU falls to Purdue on homer in ninth

Ryne White hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning and Purdue beat Ohio State 7-5 in the second game of a Big Ten baseball doubleheader yesterday at Bill Davis Stadium. Justin Miller drove in three runs in the first game as Ohio State won 8-4.
Purdue won three of the four games in the weekend series.
In the second game, Cory Kovanda had two RBI, including a solo homer, as Ohio State built a 5-1 lead through seven innings.
Purdue scored three runs in the eighth to draw to 5-4 and went ahead in the ninth on White's homer to right field off Alex Wimmers (0-1).
In the first game, Zach Hurley singled in a run, and Miller and Ryan Meade had sacrifice flies to give Ohio State (19-15, 8-7) a 3-0 lead.
