At the same time, Hall is probably versatile enough to be used in multiple capacities and perhaps even on the defensive side of the ball if it came to it. Everything seemed so promising with Hyde's situation early on, but, despite the fact that we have a lot of time before signing day, I also realize that we signing recruits for the '09 class at record pace. Is Hyde sweet on another program, just taking his time, or are we all rushing to judgment when discounting him?

I think most are because the style of offense we are turning to doesn't need a Hyde-type back. Berry will play the role of Pittman when Troy was our QB, the same spread-the-field offense we'll use with Pryor. I honestly think that Jermil Martin can play the big back role for us if need be, but don't discount Beanie being here a fourth year either. Herron and Saine are already here too and they're just studs, period. In 2010 there is Spencer Ware and Eric Howard in Ohio, both big backs. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to land Hyde, but I believe that Berry and Hall would be perfect for this class at RB.
