I'm not sold on USC being a no brainer at #2,#3,#4 or #5. When a team loses 4 of their 5 Offensive lineman, their QB, tailback and TE, then I have to think they are going to struggle to be a top 5 team....I know, I know, It's USC and they are supposedly deep. But there is nothing quite like playing experience and when an offense is losing so much I think they will have a lot to prove. To say the least, it's not a no brainer. I think people are getting caught up in the USC hype.
I think of it in this way....tOSU is every bit the program that USC is. If we had lost Boone, Rehring, Person, Barton, Nichol, Wells and Boeckman on offense, would anyone be thinking of the Bucks as the #2 team in the nation? That's not even mentioning the loss of Sedrick Ellis, Lawrence Jackson, Kieth Rivers, Terrell Thomas and Thomas Williams on defense!

I know all of us, including the media want to see tOSU and USC ranked in the top two or three because of the early season matchup. It makes for great press....But I'm making my prediction now. Even being in California I think OSU wins by two TD's and Beanie Wells has a huge game.
USC is overrated.
