Don't count on it. Think about it this way, you join the alumni association, and get the chance to buy tickets. You go and you buy your tickets a few years in a row, and you keep getting denied. How likely are you to stay in the alumni association? Now a person in theory has just as much chance as getting a ticket be it they have been a member for a year or twenty years. Which do you think gets more people to give money to the alumni association?
