Those five players are back with the team...so what? They all missed the last 2 games of the 2007 season at least, and also did not travel with the team for the Alamo Bowl. So they OBVIOUSLY didn't get to take advantage of weeks worth of practices and are not exactly Joe's favorites at this moment in time. Chris Baker, Phil Taylor [felony charges dropped] & Navarro Bowman still have trials scheduled in which they plead not guilty and Andrew Quarless still has his DUI charge. All 5 players also missed all of spring practice and were not allowed to participate in the B/W game. The release specifically states that the players status as far as playing in games once the season begins has NOT changed. Phil Taylor has been barred from living on campus, with be suspended for both summer semesters and has to attend anger management classes while being placed on probation within the University; if he gets in any trouble again he is gone.

What was Tressel's punishment for those players with chronic problems again? Condition yourselves by running while the team practices, that way you'll be in better shape for when the football season begins...how harsh!
