if Laffey gets demoted b/c Westbrook needs a spot in the rotation I'm quitting the season. I know NF has given them until June to find a new hitting coach. I'm willing to give them a little more time on that.
However, optioning Laffey down to triple-A as well as he is pitching would be moronic. I just hope they don't do it and then feed us a bunch of [censored] about Paul Byrd's experience and importance in the rotation. If they keep Byrd in the rotation, it's becuase of money.....they don't want to waste that contract coming out of the bullpen or cutting it loose.
I just don't think it can happen (optioning Laffey down), but you never know with this franchise.
