Eh, that's only good in the hypothetical. Neither Kouzmanoff nor Phillips would have developed here with Shelton. Like I said, he's the grim [censored]ing reaper for young players. As I've pointed out before, you have to look no further than our CF. Sizemore has the tools to be a superstar but has shown little to no improvement from his rookie season. Hell, he's actually regressed some this season.
As for Shapiro, my problem with him is not the moves he makes, it's the fact that he doesn't make enough. That's going to have to change soon because this team is going nowhere but the basement with the current roster.
I'd be happy to see the entire staff replaced with the exception of Willis, but that ain't happening anytime soon. Wedge, as much as I despise a majority of his decisions, has been relatively successful and really shouldn't be in that much hot water based on a bad season with a bunch of stiffs. Shelton's continued employment, on the other hand, absolutely baffles me.
