Then I realize that all the kids in these classes we're targeting now were in, like, the 6th and 7th grade in 2002 and probably don't remember that season so well, if at all. Several of them probably weren't even interested in football yet, or at least hadn't played in any sort of organized game. The kids that are part of the incoming class for 08 were about 12 years old when we won the title.

Time flies.

I'm getting old.

I just love that "getting over the hump" for Buckeyes means winning the NC. There is no second place with these guys. It's all or nothing, and a New Years Day bowl game is not going to make them happy. I remember one 9-3 season after another with the hopes for a decent bowl game. Now, the bar has been raised significantly.

And just think, the team a few hundred miles north would probably be happy keeping their bowl streak alive this year and next. It's a great time to be a Buckeye.
