Well then why don't we just have a bowl game for every single team in I-A? If you can't discern the difference in meaning or value of the Rose Bowl versu the Toilet Bowl, then you have issues. You're probably one of those folks who see nothing wrong in participation medals and pre-school "graduations".
60,000 people at any sporting event is not a lack of interest. You're blinding yourself with your own argument if you think otherwise.

I'm glad you think you've got me pegged. I know perfectly well what the Rose Bowl means and the tradition behind it. Do you really think that tradition is so weak that Tulsa and Bowling Green playing a "meaningless" game in Alabama takes away from it? It's funny that someone who is so concerned about the bowl traditions would still chuck it away for a brand-new system.
