Since I've talked about him a few other times on this thread...

South Lakes FL sr Jeff Demps, less than a week after his 2nd legal sub-10:20 of the year (10.19 at Pre last Sunday), ran a 10.03w (+2.2) prelim at The National Training Center Sprint/Hurdle Open, a USATF-sanctioned meet in Clermont (near Orlando) FL.
The High School record for 100 meters, according to Jack Shepard's High School Track, is J-Mee Samuels' 10.08 from 2005. The fastest wind-aided time list is 9.8 by Michael Taylor LA from 1983, which, using the commonly-accepted 0.24 hand-to-auto conversion, is equal to 10.04. Samuels is #2 on the windy list with 10.05, making Demps' mark the fastest auto-timed mark, whether you accept the "conversions" or not.

WOW. Would have been a high school national record but the wind was barely over the acceptable reading (was +2.2m/s, allowable is +2.0).
