well, wally world can play the two and has an expiring contract as well. so, the aforementioned trade to Cleveland would clear a lot of cap space, get them a young PF, and another draft pick so they can get younger.
it almost seems to be a perfect fit, which is exactly why it won't happen.

I was wondering how this move might affect the Cavs' efforts to get Redd. I was actually thinking that they might be inclined to hold onto Redd and make a run toward the playoffs with him and Jefferson. I don't know if that would actually work for them, but I could see where they would try that. Otherwise, it doesn't make much sense for them to trade for a player like Jefferson who has three years left on his contract.
