It's okay to question what he did while he was in the service, but don't question the fact that he did serve. And don't question his patriotism. (I haven't seen anybody do either of the latter.)

Nobody here has ridiculed or mocked John McCain for serving his country. I haven't seen anyone suggest that he is anything other than patriotic.

As you have pointed out, examining his service record is very different from those other actions. As far as I can tell, that's all anybody here is even interested in doing.
