I doubt he is being looked at by TM seriously. With Johnson ( 10 ) and Teague ( 11 ) high on their list I don't see BJM's ship going to an undersized scoring PG in 09.

The weight/size/frame debate is interesting. Some PG's can overcome such things ( say a Mugsy Bogues or recently a Drew Lavender for instance ). I'm not sure weight and size are as huge a thing for a PG as for other positions. But then some might say that Conley's rise was helped by his adding 15 pounds of muscle before the season in 06-07.

I think what might be "in play" a bit in Tay's case is that he is more of a scoring PG than a distributor. Size does play more of a factor in scoring in college. A distributor can get away with quickness overcoming other deficiencies but a scorer has to avoid getting blocked and be able to occasionally finish inside and that often means some muscle and size.

We've had some smaller PGs like Scoonie and Stokes and Burson was only 155 lbs. But they all had other overriding factors. Stokes had the fantastic hops as he could dunk easily with two hands at 5'9. Scoonie was exceptionally strong and thick for a shorter guy and had a knack for finishing drives. Burson could bench 350 lbs so he was exceptionally strong too.

Does Tay have some other tools to overcome his size and frame disadvantage? To me that is the germane question. I have no idea! Weight/size alone is not the end all be all. Strength and other factors are the more telling 'precursors or bellweather indicators' in my opinion.
