Bourquin's shot on Staurday night was a thing of beauty. I loved seeing the RF start jogging towards the dugout before the ball even cleared the fence.

Sunday was ugly, but what do you expect with 2 freshmen pitching. DeLucia will be fine with some more work in the Wednesday games, as will Fausnaugh. I gotta think both will get around 2-3 innings against Oakland.

Myers looked good when he was in the game on Sunday. I was hoping to get a better look at him until he got hit by that liner. With some more work he could be a dominant pitcher with his size. Carroll was pretty decent too.

Lewis is looking better and better in simulated action. I think we'll see him come in for relief work in a week or so... they're not going to rush him back and the cold weather isn't helping things out. This team would have been phenomenal with a Lewis - Newman - Madsen - Luyster rotation.

Overall it was a great weekend. The bats finally came alive, that is a great sign of things to come hopefully. The pitching will sort itself out as some of these youngsters get some time on the mound. We just gotta keep the bats warm.
