ok i don't get it. what is the benefit for the country? we are assuming our kids will be better educated and have better work ethics. however, im not certain that a small increase in this area will warrant the cost. if we truely setup a program that rivals the cost of the dod... thats a stupid amount of money for what is essentially community service. i don't see how this is overly helpful for the kids as they can not attend school during the time. nor do i see a significant financial reward for the taxpayers. ive never heard of this program before so i am probably misinterpreting or misunderstanding something. but i don't see much if any benefit to this program. let alone a payoff for the cost. anyone know what the actual intentions are for this program and how eager obama is to implement it?
