You will never convince me that the crowd in the Rose Bowl is evenly split between Big 10 and Pac 10 fans. Likewise any Big 10 Team playing in the Cotton, Orange, Sugar, Citrus, Peach, and whatever gmae they play in Nashville or Memphis is at a disadvantage compared to any SEC team. Folks in Georgia/Florida/Louisianna/Texas do not go to a game to root for a northern team against a Southern team. That's a home field advantage.
Well we have a larger fan base in AZ, and much more fans in Glendale for the BCS Champ game... but the one thing bowls always do is allow teams get to full strength. So during the season, sure UF was not as good of a team, with injuries, but that layoff wasnt as much as us getting complacient/tired(even though its more than 1/2 a season of a break) as it allowed Florida (and LSU for that matter) to get their injured players healthy.

Thats my biggest gripe about bowls, location, meh (I loved going south, who wants to be in the midwest in Jan)... the layoff doesn't always equal the regular season team that got them to the bowl.
