McCain had nothing to lose with this pick, whereas he really had little to gain from any of the others.

McCain's choices for VP were so [censored]ty that he had to go with an absolute unknown who's only positive attribute is how mean people will look criticizing her for the ridiculous number of things that make her unqualified to be VP, and this is a good thing? Interesting perspective.
