YEP!!! I got the Hauppauge HD-PVR unit this summer when it first came out and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! What I generally do is author the DVD with the TotalExtreme software that comes with it and then burn it to Blu Ray disc using Nero 8. It really plays back AWESOMME on the PS3.
I have about five games from the 2007 season on Blu Ray too. The only problems is the discs are so much (11 dollars apiece if you buy a 10 pack) and the unit can only record one game and then you have to let it sit for a few hours and cool down before you can try and record the second game (They may have got this fixed however by now). But the good news is you can also split the game onto multiple discs and burn them to regular DVD or Dual Layer DVDs that will also play back on the PS3 in Blu Ray
