Spartans haven?t beaten Bucks since 1999

With its winning ways Michigan State has set up a huge game on Saturday when No. 12 Ohio State comes to play.
The Spartans, fresh off a big road 37-20 win at previously undefeated Northwestern, moved up to No. 20 in the Associated Press poll released on Sunday.
In recent years Michigan State (6-1, 3-0 Big Ten) surely would have found a way to stumble by now. But these obviously aren?t the same old Spartans. They?re making few mistakes ? they had no fumbles and Brian Hoyer did not throw an interception on Saturday.
When they first crept into the rankings a week ago at No. 23, coach Mark Dantonio did not make a big deal of it. The players said they only care about the rankings at the end of the season. But surely national recognition would inject a dose of confidence into any football program looking for respect.
