Let's not lose sight of the fact that business is not taxed on revenue but on income. For Joe the Plumber, to net 250K, he, under average business conditions (not sure about the specifics in the plumbing game) would need to be running a 2.5 to 3 million dollar operation
I'm assuming plumbing, due to the nature of vehicles, equipment and skilled trade labor, is not a particularly high margin operation.
If he was going to purchase the business for 250K, there's no reason to believe that it was doing anything near the threshold that might require him to pay more taxes under Obama's plan.
