Globalization is Westernization is Americanization.
So, ask yourself, why the backlash?
Coke, Levi's, McDonald's...
American troops in Saudi, bringing their western values.
Royale with Cheese?
They're going to hate us for it, no matter what...
Why?
Change sucks.
We may not like the Chinese, but we don't try to dress like them.
Obama may talk all smooth, but, trust me the Euro's and everyone else are going to take what they can get no matter what... as long as we're the top dog... everyone else will think its unfair.
China and India will cry that they are developing countries... Western Europe will moan that we are destroying their culture, the Muslims will lash out against us corrupting their eternal souls, the Africans will say that we are keeping them poor on purpose...
And they will take pleasure in our failures and bemoan our success...
Its not going to change.
