The point is that it's not "competition" for recruits if we don't offer them. That's other teams picking over the best of the rest. You named 1 Ohio kid that we didn't get that we actually offered, and you think that Illinois and Cincinnati (!) are going to start taking the top-shelf talent from us. Granted we did offer Turner out of Massillon this year, but nobody is going to get every single in-state kid. Look at Texas; they're whole roster is made up of Texas kids, yet they lose top kids every year to Oklahoma, LSU, etc.
