This year's scenario would be different than 2006 because: a) Texas beat Oklahoma in the first meeting, so it is concievable that they could sneak in, whereas Michigan lost in the first meeting, b) there was so much controversy regarding which Big 12 team should make the championship game, and a lot of people felt Texas got the raw deal there and may still have them ranked ahead of Oklahoma by virtue of their head-to-head win, c) Michigan was behind Florida in the computers in 2006. Texas is ahead of Florida in the computers.

If we did get an OU-Texas rematch in the NC, what would happen to the rest of the bowls? Florida would default into the Sugar and Alabama would oppose us in the Fiesta?
