MANSFIELD -- The state's 15th-ranked Division IV team was treated like an unwelcome guest by St. Peter's on Tuesday night.
But Plymouth prevailed 66-60 thanks to Brook Turson's 26 points and 13 points from Ryan Adams.
"We didn't play like the 15th best team in the state tonight," said Turson, who had a game-high 11 rebounds and added seven steals. "We're not the 30th best team in the state tonight, the way we played. ... We need to step up if we're going to live up to the billing.
"We're going to take everyone's best shot."
Collins was especially impressed with the play of Turson.
"You hate to coach against him, but he's a great kid to watch," he said. "He just seems to have control of the game. He's a great kid who has a great attitude and he works hard.
"He is outstanding, but they've got some other kids, too. They are a well-coached, hard-working team."
