can you blame PC? - WeAreSC Forums

can you blame PC? the fact is, WE HAD A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WITH EXPERIENCE NEXT YEAR.

that team will not be coming back with mark sanchez gone.(extremely difficult)

coach wants the best for his kids, but he also wants the team to have championship success. and that starts with an experienced QB. that would be mark sanchez.

so you cant blame PC. afterall, we all want to win too dont we?
Quote:
I wanted that too. And I realize that we don't have it anymore. I'm extremely disappointed that we're not going to be front runners.

But the way Pete handled himself in that press conference was wrong.

PC looking out for PC. Mark looking out for Mark's family. Good move by Mark.

PC is just another college coach looking out for himself. Never thought I would say that.

I missed it. How did PC handle himself?
Like a used car salesman.

Look at ESPN, all they are talking about is PC's comments.

Great job Pete.

I believe you just lowered his draft stock.
Can you tell coach disagrees with the decision - Page 2 - WeAreSC Forums

I have to say that I think what Pete did was very low. I mean.... I basically agree with what Pete said but why do you have to do that at Mark's press conference? PC clearly spoke his peace to Mark in private and Mark made the decision to leave.

This was Mark's moment... and PC kinda ruined it. I really feel for Mark.

BTW.... I thought Mark was extremely well-spoken and classy in all of his comment.

That's true - but maybe Coach had one last 'meeting' prior to press and was still stewing a bit. But, you are right, he should not have rained on Mark's parade, if that is what he did.
He did not rain on his parade. He told the press exactly what he told Mark...he explained how the NFL evaluation process works.

I thought PC went on a bit too long in his explanation as to why he disagrees with Mark's decision.

He obviously had told EVERYTHING possible to Mark as to why he should come back, but ultimately it's Mark's decision, and Pete could have looked a bit more supportive.

This is one of the biggest days in Mark's life, and I think PC should have just said, "I wish Mark nothing but the best, even though I don't agree with his decision, but I know he's a great kid with a really bright future and we know he's gonna meet this challenge head on."

It wasn't like PC went waaaay over board or anything, but I think he could have handled it a bit better. JMO.
BINGO.

I trust Pete Carroll's opinion over any potential agents that were promising Mark the world. Carroll, more than anyone, is looking out for Mark's best interests. The agent just wants his commission. Who do you trust more?
That's complete bull. Pete Carroll cares about having a championship caliber team next year and he knows the chances of that increase with Mark Sanchez at QB. The way he acted at the press conference today was akin to something of a spurned, bitter ex-lover.

Mark Sanchez gave four years of his life to this university and now instead of coming back with a new offensive coordinator and a new defense, he has a chance to go to the NFL and financially set himself, his kids and his grandkids for life.

He did look like a arrogant jerk on that interview...and i agree with him...Mark is making a huge mistake
