Kbuck, while it's true that the kids should be studying and in the weight room, it's a little shortsighted to think that they are.
And, actually, you talk about studying and such. Is it unwise, in your view, to study up on the process that is happening to you (if you're being recruited, that is) I think I would want to know, if I'm gonna spend 4 years of my life in some far away land (think Boliva) I'm gonna make sure I know what's going on around there. Everyone gets "wowed" when they go on visits, so I'd like to know what the real story is. I'm not sure that all these internet message boards are the best of sources, but they are a source of that kind of info no less.
But, then, on the other hand, I can't think of any coach who has a bad reputation such that his recruiting classes suffer. So, maybe it really is a non-issue.
