Recruiting World vs Real World

In reference to JG comments about his conversation he had with PC and what was said, I would have to believe there is more to the conversation but I also believe the words "your making a mistake" were made by PC, but in what context and what was the meaning will never be known.

In the world of recruiting, promises are made and broken by the school and recruit, its a dirty business sometimes, read about the Albert Means story, I think those types of things go on at alot of schools. It happens in the real world also, people make decisions that effect other people and life goes on.

I believe Alan will back me up when I say that alot of schools lie to recruits and vice versa, its the way of the world. At the end of the day, only one school will be happy. Its unfortunate in JG's situation that he verbaled to all three schools at one point or another and "made his bed" so to speak. Do not get me wrong, I am not saying JG did anything wrong or misled the coaches but when you give strong indications you are going to sign with a school and do not less than 24 hours later, well I can just imagine how the coaches feel after all the effort is made to land a recruit.

I think the comments made by JG were not entirely accurate but gave us a glimpse of what happens on signing day. I am very proud of how JT apparently handled the news according to JG. I personally try not to forget how difficult it must be for a 17-18 year old kid to tell these great coaches no.
