2005 Freshmen

A lot of people outside our community may look at this class and say it came up just short because maybe we didn't finish with the "ones we wanted" on LOI day. I say they would be wrong! I love this class. We filled every spot of need for our football team and filled our quota of Natural Born Buckeyes as well. All of the kids we signed or will sign today have great character. For the kids that sign today they should know we are proud of them. They weathered the storm of media b.s. and they weathered the neverending slaps in the face by other potential suitors. These kids could easily have taken the easy road and blamed it on "too much pressure" or "uneasy feelings" due to rumors. They didn't. Now will come the reward for the men that follow through on their commitments. The Buckeye nation will shower them with deserving love. The national spotlight will shine on them continually. Their names will be known all across the nation if not the world, because the Buckeye family stretches continents and time. I love this class! So many athletes have donned the Scarlet and Gray before them. Many will after but how many have the guts and desire of this group?! Wether they end up superstars on the field or not is entirely up to them. They are already superstars in our hearts! Go Bucks and did I mention I love this class?
