I would have to believe there is more to the conversation but I also believe the words "your making a mistake" were made by PC, but in what context and what was the meaning will never be known.

Well said.
Here is where I stand on the JG situation and he "verballed" to 3 different schools. I am pretty old school on this and it is if you give your word to someone, you stand by it. To me, giving your word (in this case a verbal) and sticking to it is damn important. Once someone breaks their word, I tend to lose respect for them and it goes without saying, trust is gone. I guess the way I was raised, and the way I am trying to raise my sons, is that a man's word is extremely important. And in the end, JG did keep his word to the original school he verballed to; but that doesn't exonerate him from giving his word (allegedly) to 2 other schools.
JG did verbal early to WV. If I had to guess, and it is only a guess, once his season wore on and the big names in college football came a calling (USC and
OSU), I tend to think that JG started to believe he could go to one of those big name schools with a higher visibility than WV. Unless one is extremely, maybe even unusually, well grounded as a HS senior, that may, on some level, cause a little bit of an ego boost. Being in LaLa Land on an official visit, having PC stroking your ego, etc, well I can see how he may have gotten caught up in the moment and verballed while on the visit. He may have gotten caught up in the moment. Ditto that with his
OSU recruitment. Again, that doesn't exonerate JG for (allegedly) making 3 verbals, giving his word 3 times, knowing that he would have to bail on 2 of the 3, just a possible scenario.
I wish nothing but the best for JG and I hope this recruiting process has taught him a valuable life lesson, a lesson that he won't learn in the classroom at WV (nor would he have at
OSU or USC).
